Six years after launch, Pokémon GO was faced with a challenge; its user base was shrinking for the first time ever.
They planned a new multiplayer way to play, and wanted to launch globally with a big splash.
Their previous advertising was all quite safe and lifestyle, but something more was required to build more buzz with Party Play…
Hero film
We created a high energy POV treatment that separated the new game’s new mode from everything that had gone before it. The production involved heavy VFX and 3D animation throughout.

TikTok campaign
The hero ad was supported by a series of bespoke ‘infotoks’ which gave fans a bit more information about how to start a party and what new rewards they could enjoy.
