C.P.J. Field

Our #PaidLeaveToGrieve campaign was rooted in the insight that there’s currently no official bereavement policy for workers in the UK. It’s completely down to an employer’s discretion how long they’re willing to give an employee off work to grieve; whether that’s two days or two weeks, paid or unpaid. Almost half of all Brits surveyed in 2022 said they weren’t even offered paid leave to attend the funeral of a loved one.

We worked with two known faces - Stacey Heale and Flora Baker - to create video content talking about their experience with grief and how they’ve been supported. Alongside, C.P.J. funeral directors Ben Blunt and Andy Holter also spoke to us beautifully about the day to day of the extraordinary job caring for the living and the dead, with a focus on the quality of care they show the local families they help, and why Paid Leave to Grieve is so important.

Paid Leave to Grieve.

Our hero film told the stories of four diverse people with very unique experiences of grief, proving that it’s always personal and it’s never linear.

Grief is...

In this film, two of our lead ambassadors bravely shared their best descriptions of what their grief feels like.

Stacey’s story.

We spoke to Stacey Heale about her experience of living with someone with a serious condition and the feeling of anticipatory grief.

The campaign was covered by leading industry title Creative Moment.
